About
Ryan R. Olson is a photographer and visual artist specializing in the creation of ethereal imagery. His editing techniques shape shadow and light, steeping each image in a sense of melancholic awe. He endeavours to invoke atmospheres of contemplation for the indescribable. A feeling of the ineffable, to help cut through our racing thoughts that can plague our inner worlds.
Based out of western Canada, he frequently travels throughout the Rocky Mountains and Pacific North West for inspiration. Ryan grew up fascinated from an early age with the ability of shadow to transform a landscape. Even now, nature continues to instil within him deep feelings of awe and mystery that he interprets through his photographic and visual art.
One of Ryan’s pieces ‘Ethereal Sea’ will be featured in CompStomp Studios New York gallery this April.
Whether he is working with landscapes, still life, or portraits, Ryan's goal is always the same: to create visualizations that capture the beauty and complexity of the world around us, while also tapping into the deep wellspring of human emotion and imagination. His work is truly ineffable, evoking a sense of wonder and awe that is both powerful and transformative.
